CLI Commands

Complete reference of all GAIA terminal CLI commands and flags.

GAIA CLI Reference

Core

Command Description
gaia Start interactive TUI
gaia exec <task> Execute task in headless mode
gaia exec <task> --json JSON output
gaia exec <task> --quiet Minimal output

Server Mode (Web UI Dashboard)

Command Description
gaia serve Start Web UI Dashboard server (default port 8080)
gaia serve 9090 Custom port for Web UI Dashboard

The server exposes an interactive Web UI Dashboard (templ + TailwindCSS + templ-islands) with:

GET  /                   β†’ Web UI Dashboard (Multi-Workspace, Live Chat, Subagent Pipeline)
POST /web/message        β†’ Send message to active workspace
POST /web/projects/select β†’ Switch active workspace
GET  /web/stream         β†’ SSE Stream endpoint for real-time tokens & status updates

Plugins

gaia plugin list List all installed plugins and their status
gaia plugin enable <name> Enable an installed plugin
gaia plugin disable <name> Disable a plugin

Review

Command Description
gaia review mode enable Enable opt-in Receipt-Driven Development (RDD) review
gaia review mode disable Disable review mode (delivery uses ordinary repo policy)
gaia review mode status Show active review mode and deciding source (clone vs global)
gaia review start Start bounded 4R review
gaia review validate --gate <gate> Validate receipt at gate (pre-commit, pre-push, pre-pr)

MCP Server Configuration

Servers with OAuth can pass tokens via config:

Tokens are injected as environment variables MCP_ACCESS_TOKEN, ACCESS_TOKEN, and MCP_TOKEN_URL.
